El estado musulmán: una aproximación a la relación entre lo religioso y lo político desde el shiísmo iraquí

Este artículo tiene por objeto abordar la situación de la población shií en en el escenario político de Iraq. Se pretende brindar algunas herramientas que permitan analizar la compleja situación que tiene lugar en ese país del Próximo Oriente. Para ello, se hace un recorrido a través de la historia de la población shiíta, dado que en ésta es posible rastrear el origen y la razón de aquellas particularidades que la definen y diferencian de los grupos restantes al interior de la sociedad iraquí. Posteriormente, se abordan las problemáticas relaciones que han sostenido con la mayoría sunní, bajo el presupuesto de que para entender el por qué de ellas, es necesario remontarse a la relación dialéctica entre el Islam y el poder político, en la construcción del estado-nación musulmán contemporáneo.

 

The Muslim state: an approach to the relationship between religion and politics from Shiism iraq

The objective of this article is to cover the situation of the shiit population in the political stage of Iraq and to give some tools which allow the analysis of the complex situation that is going on in this eastern country. That is why, a journey through the shiit population history is done, because with this it is possible to trail the origin and the reason of those particularities that define and differ it from the other groups belonging to the Iraqi society. After that, the problematic relations that the shiits have had with the most of the Sunnis are taken, estimating that it is necessary to go back to the dialectic relation between the Islam and the political power, in the construction of the contemporary Muslim state-nation.
